d) Use the remaining class time to work on your project.
Use this checklist to track your progress. Make sure every item is done before Thursday.
By next week Thursday, you must have all of the steps above completed and shared to me via GitHub.
If you have not completed everything by Thursday, you must provide a written justification explaining what is outstanding and when it will be finished.
Check your checklist and make sure everything is pushed to GitHub before the deadline.
2 Add Presentation Info to Your Timeline
You need to update your project timeline now with the presentation information from the schedule above.
- The presentation date is different than the day the paper is due. Your final paper is due May 10, but your presentation will happen on one of the earlier dates listed in the schedule.
- You should be preparing your presentation now: do not wait until the last minute.
- Your presentation should focus on your analytical methods.
3 Final Presentation Instructions
Each student will deliver a final project presentation to the class.
- Length: 15 minutes presentation + 2–3 minutes Q&A
- Format: PowerPoint presentation
- Class size: 10 students
3.1 Peer Assessment
Your presentation will be assessed by the other students in the class. Each audience member will provide feedback and scores based on the following criteria:

|---|---|
| Clarity | Was the research question and motivation clearly communicated? |
| Methods | Were the analytical methods well-explained and justified? |
| Results | Were the results presented clearly and accurately? |
| Structure | Was the presentation well-organized and within the time limit? |
| Engagement | Did the presenter engage the audience and respond well to questions? |
4 In-Class Roles for Presentation Days
Each presentation day, the following roles will be assigned to students in the audience:
| Role | Responsibility |
|---|---|
| Scribe | Captures key feedback and questions during the presentation |
| Timekeeper | Keeps the presenter on schedule (signals at 12 min and 15 min) |
| Moderator | Manages Q&A and ensures respectful discussion |
| Feedback | Gets all feedback, and data from scribe |
The names will be randomly selected on Tuesday 14. Send me an email if you cannot do a date.
